VOLUME XVI, LIBRARY OF BABEL'S FIVE ON FRIDAY (My Bloody Valentine)

So they took you to the fucking shard
But they didn't send a fucking card.
So what?
So what?

(after Anti-Nowhere League)
If you didn't get any cards it's because you're destroying capitalism! All right, here's yet another belated summary of my favourite posts this week, but not before I ORDER you to read Froth's Humpday Blog-O-Rama and please have a look at this incredible blogroll at Dragons Never Forget.

Done? good. Okay, here's my five favourite blog posts this week:

ESPHAREL
ALTERNATE ALIGNMENTS: DOWN WITH LAW/CHAOS!
I've been thinking about alignment a lot of late, so this was germane: replacing abstract concepts with concrete allegiances.

THE LIZARDMANDIARIES
"WHAT DOES THE NPC WANT?" TABLE
A pretty random generator for NPC motivations: sometimes the bandit just wants a boat, as someone commented.

PAPERS AND PENCILS
D100 SECRET WEAKNESSES
If you're going to randomly determine their motive, give them a random weakness too.

GMDK
The Five Laws of RPG Science
Quality discourse from Dai, re-purposing a dead librarian's rules for libraries as rules for game design.

BONE BOX CHANT
ZINEQUEST (Part 2)
In case you've been living under a rock, Zine Quest 2 kicked off over two weeks ago now, and Pandatheist has been religiously cataloguing the various RPG zines that have been launched: this is part two.

Speaking of Zine Quest, there's still four days left to get in on my own venture, PARIAH. It's a zine containing all the tools you need to set up and run your own old-school psychedelic neolithic animist RPG-  use the rules therein or adapt the material to your favourite setting.

There will be an audio version of this post. available very soon: keep your eyes and ears peeled

Until next time,

- Sofinho

PS. Here is a link to some high quality shoegazing promised by the title:
