Lexi is going to get her very own section in the Library of Babel at this rate: in the past few weeks, we've featured her Meatropolis, a character class known as the Far Traveler [sic] and now this: wizards die messily. By Babelian tradition, any post featuring a random table MUST be rolled upon, so here goes:
- My wizard might explode because: Someone walked up behind them and shouted "Boo!"
- How my wizard exploded: Turn To Moon. Save vs. blindness as the wizard turns into a great orb of marble and ascends to the heavens. This absolutely obliterates anything in its path. You may save to jump off the new moon; if you succeed, roll a d10 to figure out how many d6s of falling damage you take. If you fail, you have about a minute of oxygen in your lungs. Make it count

Yeah, this is dumber than snorting the ashes of an elder god somehow, but it's Christmas so fuck it. What will happen to you when you EAT THE ELF?
As you swallow/snort/smoke/inject/etc the elf you feel a warmth flow throughout your body and... You become immune to all human diseases thanks to the elf's super immune system. The downside is you have to orally expel all the bile build up randomly every 1d4 days. The vomiting takes a turn.

I'm weirdly proud to have been part of this incredible tradition: members of the OSR discord entered their desired RPG "thing" on a shared spreadsheet, and James Young assigned each supplicant one of their fellow's wishes... Ian, the Benign Brown Beast, was tasked with creating a new way to mess with time/space/fate (as opposed to getting a re-roll) and in the process made PCs into quantum immortals!
I should also disclose at this point that I was likewise a happy recipient of Secret Santicorn when Mr-Screw-On-Head furnished me with this incredible procedurally generated post Roman Britain hexcrawl. I'll be devoting a whole post to it very soon:

http://questingblog.com/the-maze-knights-potion-and-spell-generator/Finally, Ben Milton rarely (or perhaps more accurately, sporadically) posts these days (mainly because he is producing QVC FOR DORKS, but when he does it usually makes up for the lengthy intermission. In this case, items as spells is given a new twist in this preview of a potion/ spell generation for Maze Knights, his forthcoming RPG follow-up to the excellent Maze Rats (with which this generator is backwards compatible, though really it would be harder to make something incompatible with the super-light rules of Maze Rats.
Anyway, this is good, and here's something I generated earlier:
SPELL: Mirror of Deflecting Tea BOTTLE: Egg, Pumpkin colored, Mayonnaise consistency, Popcorn scented, Rotten Egg taste, Quirk: WhistlingOkay that's it for this week, try not to discourse too hard over the festive season, see you the day after Boxing Day!
