FIVE ON FRIDAY - LIBRARY OF BABEL VI

I'll start with my regular shout-out to Froth's Humpday Blog-o-rama and Dragons Never Forget's Great Blog Roll Call. Check them out if you want a more thorough example of what constitutes the vast osr blog-o-sphere.

November 28th: International Mars Day
More weekly recommendations from the Library of Babel listed below. The current emphasis is on gameable content for the table, rather than actual play and theory. That may change in the future...

It's going to be short and sweet this week because I've had a novel to write, I've moved house, I've torn my rotator cuff and I've had funerals to attend (some of these incidents are related).

THE ALEXANDRIAN
RANDOM GM TIP – YOUR HIDDEN TOOLBOX
https://thealexandrian.net/wordpress/43886/roleplaying-games/random-gm-tip-your-hidden-toolbox

I'm a little reluctant to include blogs as established as the Alexandrian here as a) the content is quite broad and b) they already have quite an audience but there's some good general advice about GM prep alongside more specific table techniques for managing rumours in a sandbox campaign.
ARCHONS MARCH ON
http://archonsmarchon.blogspot.com/2019/11/d6x6-evil-trees.html
Archons March On is getting a mention each week because so much stuff that they post can be dropped straight into your game... this week: evil trees!

MEANDERING BANTER
HEAT TOMB, MEND TUSK, SPIN CENTIPEDE - WHAT TO DO WITH WEIRD SPELLS
https://meanderingbanter.blogspot.com/2019/11/weird-spells.html

Proud to say that I've been actively involved in Spwack's Die Trying playtest, and have even cast a spell using the new magic system! Nobody died, but I busted a lock clean open.

THE MANSE
20 REALLY GOOD MUTATIONS
http://themansegaming.blogspot.com/2019/11/20-really-good-mutations.html
What it says on the tin.

HMMM MARQUIS
http://hmmmarquis.blogspot.com/2019/11/spell-slots-as-hit-point-abstractions.html
I like connecting spellcasting to hit points, or hit dice. So does Marquis, it would seem!
Normal service will resume in December.
